We specialise in Out of Gauge movements, freight unable to be carried by standard curtainsiders, box trailers, or container transport (although we can arrange these if required) This typically means loads which have overwidth, overlength, overheight, overweight, or a very dense nature
The majority of our movements are transported within Western Europe, but often include irregular or logistically challenging destinations such as Kosovo, Albania, Ukraine, Norway and the Greek, Mediterranean, and Canary Islands, which have all been successfully fulfilled with abnormal and express loads.
OUR EXTENSIVE FLEET
Our fleet currently comprises:
- 6x2 Special Types tractor units up to 65 & 72 tons gross
- 6x4 Special Types tractors units up to 80 tons gross
- A trailer fleet of flatbeds, flat and mega extenders, extendable semi low loaders, and low loaders.
- Flatbed trailers are equipped with multiple twist locks, side stanchions and high headboards.
- Extendable semi lows and low loaders have twist locks, heavy duty ramps, side stanchions, outriggers, and long load bolsters.
- The latest addition to the fleet is a triple extending semi low bed trailer which can extend to 47m in length. This trailer is fully power-steered to cope with these extreme lengths and can also be remotely steered in tight spaces.
- All trailers have tested and tagged straps, chains, and lashing points as well as sheets and anti slip materials.
We also operate UK spec escort vehicles based near the east coast ports of Felixstowe, Ipswich, Harwich, Tilbury and Purfleet, which can rapidly be dispatched to anywhere in the UK or Ireland.
We are happy to develop tailored solutions to suit customer's particular needs. An 'outside the box' thought process is often provided to solve customer needs.
FLEXIBILITY
Our key strength is the ability to move Out of Gauge loads quickly, with numerous abnormal load permits kept permanently valid for several different countries and routes.
All vehicles are issued with standard Cat 1 (3m wide x 48t gross) and Cat 2 (4m wide) permits for France.
All vehicles have 3.5m wide permits for Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium, as well as 30m long x 4.25m wide Network 90t and 30m long x 5m wide Network 120t for Belgian abnormal load routes, and many others.
Our specialist trailers all have permanently valid German Paragraph 70 documents and long term Paragraph 29 permits to operate in Germany and Benelux with long, wide and heavy loads.
Our tractor units also have valid Paragraph 70 docs as we often move trailer mounted mobile screens, dryers and mixing plants throughout Europe. Some examples of these mobile units are illustrated in our gallery.
Our ability to transport unusual freight is aided by an extensive knowledge of European abnormal load routes. If we don't already have the permits to do the job, we can rapidly obtain or adapt existing documents to provide a very prompt service.

CARRIAGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All Goods carried under following conditions:
- International movements carried under CMR "limited liability" conditions only
- Cancellation charges will be made for late cancellations and where costs have been incurred. An allowance of 3 hours to load, sheet, and secure, and 3 hours to unsecure and unload is included in our quotations. Excess time may be charged at an hourly rate appropriate to the equipment supplied for the job. Police escorts and specialist services such as street furniture removal are not included in our standard quotations, but can be arranged.
